Meet the Owner
Having been born and raised on a kibbutz in Israel and later having served as an officer in the Israeli Defense Force, the values of community, hard work, and teamwork have always been of the utmost importance to Moshe Katan.
After leaving the IDF, Moshe decided to sail to America with his wife, Suzannah. While touring the Atlantic Coast en route to the Caribbean, a storm forced him to dock his boat and seek shelter in the city of Charleston. As the storm continued to rock the Atlantic Ocean, Moshe began to explore the city, fell in love with the familiar sense of community that Charleston had to offer, and never looked back.
Since establishing himself in the Holy City, Moshe Katan has created three companies. MW Millworks which recreates everything from historically accurate woodwork in downtown Charleston to hurricane-rated door units. Moshe Katan LLC., which owns the 13,000 sq. ft. building that MW Millworks operates out of. And Adi Lumber which supplies the east coast with affordable and quick access to Sapele lumber. He is able to run these businesses efficiently because he spent most of his life in atmospheres where everybody worked together for a common cause.
